A while back I simplified the colour palette for the blog, to just ‘light’, ‘dark’ and ‘night-sight’. The first two were basic monochrome schemes that, while functional, were not especially nice.

For the past month or so I’ve been using a colour scheme for my text editor called Rosé Pine, a soothing, pastel look that I find surprisingly relaxing to look at. While there’s something to be said for a monochrome colour scheme on a site primarily about photography, the colouring of Rosé Pine is subtle enough that I don’t think it will influence the apparent look of the photos enough to be concerned about.

Both dark and light mode use the new Rosé Pine colours, while the night-sight mode retains its existing very dark red look.
