Lowestoft and cloudy
Monday 20th of March 2017
It had been a “mostly cloudy” kind of day, but the occasional break for some sunlight gave me hope so I went for a wander around Lowestoft pier and waterfront. Alas, almost no sun. Plenty of rocks and rust though! ‘Warning Drop’ sign on sea wall rusty fence support on sea wall fishing trawler and reflection fishing trawler deck harbour entrance harbour entrance light sea wall rocks covered in seaw…

Southwold in winter
Saturday 28th of January 2017
I thought we might get lucky with the weather today, and manage to get some nice shiny winter pictures in the Suffolk seaside town of Southwold, but although it was sunny on the drive there, as we arrived the clouds moved in and flattened all the light. These were taken with a mixture of the Fuji X100, and the Fuji X-E1 with 14mm and 60mm lenses. It’s interesting using the two cameras side by si…

Hunstanton beach and cliffs
Saturday 23rd of January 2016
Hunstanton is a town on the west coast of Norfolk. It’s one of the only places in the east of England where you can watch the sun set over the sea, and is home to some interesting red-and-white cliffs. The weather forecast was more promising today than last time, so I decided to drive over to Hunstanton again. The sun was shining almost all the way there, but annoyingly, clouds began to appear no…
