Backlog: December 2019
Thursday 2nd of February 2023
Finally, the last month of 2019! As with the previous month, finding pictures wasn’t actually a struggle for a change; in fact I had to be quite selective to reduce the choice to just these ones. Even so, three of them are from the same morning fog adventure, and two are pictures I’d previously not really paid much attention to. It’s interesting what a fresh pair of eyes can reveal. This image is …

Backlog: August 2019
Friday 23rd of December 2022
Well, I said last month that I had more pictures this month, and… well, that’s true, but the variety isn’t as great as I initially thought. It was no exaggeration to say that about 70% of the pictures are of my daughter, but hey, that’s just the way it goes when you have a 2-year-old: she changes so much even week to week, and she’s just so adorable . Still, I’ve posted plenty of pictures of h…

Backlog: June 2018
Monday 19th of December 2022
Well, if I thought last month’s backlog was thin, this one was even worse. We went on just one outing, to Dunwich Forest, but other than that it was just shopping trips to Lowestoft, solo walking along the beach, and the usual pictures of Emily. As far as I can remember, this will be a common theme for much of 2019, but hopefully there’ll be enough material to keep this series going. Emily standing on a chair, in a sunbeam On the plus side, the fewer pictures I have to select fro…

Hopton coast, evening sky
Saturday 5th of November 2022
After a period of laziness, I’ve resumed my lunchtime walks along the sea front, just in time for the weather to finally start turning cold! Luckily I recently got a new jacket, which has actually held off the cold rather too well, if I’m honest – by the time I get back I’m often sweating. Bodes well for when it gets really cold, though, and it’s an excellent jacket though, so I’m not complaining…

Winter Sky
Monday 10th of November 2014
One of the best things about winter, from a photographer’s perspective, is the light – the low sun makes for a an almost all-day-long ‘golden hour’, and when combined with the stark, leafless trees, can provide some wonderful picture opportunities. The cold weather also brings frequently gloomy skies, but every now and then the clouds clear enough for the low sun to shine through. winter sky, wid…
